Starting with the original S2Maui DRAGON, which for a long time has led the industry in the lightest/strongest/high perf category, the DRAGON ULTRA reduces weight to a level 25-30% lighter than industry standard. At only 85g/square meter and featuring a 100% Dyneema™(High Modulus Polyethylene, world’s strongest fiber) woven core, S2Maui’s ULTRA-HMPE™ is the absolute lightest and most tear resistant sail cloth currently available for windsurf sail construction. The 2026 models incorporate 2 brand new materials, Carbon 2XD in the clew to further reduce weight and the extra-durable Ultra-HMPE™ ”Hot Yellow” in the foot panel.
The ULTRA-HMPE™ material is warp oriented and load aligned with S2Maui’s WARP-PATH™ panel layout ensuring perfect tension distribution and a stable profile.
