On the day of the Eddie, with Warning Level surf in the water and just the right wind direction, one of Maui’s gems went off. I arrived at 1:00, checked the conditions for about 30 seconds, then the scramble to rig up was on. After guzzling some water, I was out there! And I was out there for 4 hours straight! I used my new 4.6 S2Maui Catalyst, and my trusty 72L OES Quad.

There were too many waves to count,  but a couple highlights were multiple 3-aerial waves, and one face ride that felt similar to a big vertical Cabo Verde wall.

All in all, an unbelievably fun session, and one to be remembered.
